Feeding Residents of Men’s Shelter of Charlotte: A way to give back to the community

We the former Bhutanese refugees resettled here are so thankful that we were welcomed to Charlotte with open arms and had the privilege to call the Queen city our home. This Thanksgiving Day, we are collaborating with the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte to serve lunch to those members of this community who cannot afford. We wanted to show our gratitude towards this city and its kind people. We just finished our shopping, and we’ve enough food to serve 250 individuals on November 22, 2018. We are extremely fortunate to be able to give back to the community we call home. Besides feeding the less fortunate ones, this initiative is also aimed at providing our youths to be involved in serving and imbibe in them importance of basic human values of love, kindness, charity, volunteerism, service, team work, individual responsibility etc.
